On the 7th and 8th of March, the Circular Business Forum will take place in Bratislava, Slovakia, which will coincide with the state visit of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima to Slovakia. The event serves as an opportunity for Dutch companies to explore the emerging circular economy of Slovakia and the country’s transition to recycling infrastructure.
The construction industry is a major contributor to Slovakia’s economic growth, however, also results in a large amount of waste production. Therefore, due to the growing demand for sustainable infrastructure and to grow the waste management sector, Slovakia will receive €1 billion to meet these demands. Slovakia’s transition to a circular economy is an opportunity for Dutch businesses to make their mark in the country by introducing the country’s advanced recycling solutions and introduce designs for green-certified buildings.
The event is open to Dutch companies and think tanks that are active in:
- Circular construction
- Waste management and recycling
The event is a fantastic opportunity to gain insights into the Slovak market, connect with potential clients and business partners, and network with other Dutch and Slovak companies.
The event will start on Tuesday the 7th of March where there will be an informal dinner after arrival. The following day the event will start at 10 am at the Bratislava Castle, followed by an opening by President Zuzana Čaputová of the Slovak Republic and King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands. There will be a networking opportunity, as well as meetings with Slovak and Dutch companies before closing the event with a concert and reception at the Slovak National Theater.
