The New Slovak Ambassador in the Netherlands presented his credentials

King Willem Alexander and Slovak Ambassador Juraj Podhorský

Mr. Juraj Podhorský was appointed as the new Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in the Netherlands. His Majesty King Willem Alexander received H.E. Juraj Podhorský at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague on Wednesday 24th of January, to present his credentials. On this occasion, the new ambassador had an audience with the King during which they discussed the current events as well as opportunities for deepening mutual bilateral relations.

The official title of Mr Podhorský is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the international organizations and bodies seated in the Netherlands.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Podhorský served as Director General for International Organizations and Human Rights at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic from 2021 to 2023. In the years 2017 to 2021, he served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of the Slovak Republic to the United Nation Office and Other International Organizations in Geneva.
