The tradition continues: The CDCC hosted a boat trip and dinner on the canals of Amsterdam

A boat in Amsterdam

On 20 September 2022, the Czech-Slovak Dutch Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) hosted exclusively for its members a boat trip and dinner in the centre of Amsterdam.

While the third Tuesday of the month of September is traditionally associated with Prinsjesdag, Prince’s Day in the administrative centre of the Netherlands, the tradition of the CDCC is to organize in September a boat trip followed by dinner in the capital city of the country. This year, the choice fell on this special Tuesday.

The event started on Amsterdam water canals with a private cruise followed by a dinner in the picturesque restaurant on one of the downtown water canals offering an informal and pleasant atmosphere for inspiring conversations.

Besides the news from our members, the group also discussed ‘Prinsjesdag’ and the impact of the Dutch government’s plans on society and business.

We had the pleasure to welcome two special guests at the event – H.E. Mrs. Kateřina Sequensová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in The Hague and Mr. Jozef Kušlita, Deputy Ambassador of the Slovak Republic in The Hague.

“The weather was on our side, the sun shined and we could enjoy the boat trip with our members. It was great to see that our guests enjoyed the evening and discussions around the table, whether it was on serious topics of today’s reality or lighter themes of for example what the fashion trends of this year’s ‘Prinsjesdag’ were,” said Vladimíra van Aarle, Chairwoman CDCC.
