In previous years, we had the pleasure to invite you to Christmas concerts organised by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in the Hague together with the Czech Centre in Rotterdam.
This year, you will be able to listen to some traditional Czech Christmas melodies from the comfort of your living room.
Online Christmas concert performed by the Dvořák Chamber Orchestra and the Kühn Chamber Choir
Programme: Jakub Jan Ryba – Czech Christmas Mass
Since its first rendition in the Baroque church in Rožmitál pod Třemšínem in 1796, Ryba’s Christmas Mass has been a symbol of Czech Christmas, and it is where the concert was recorded. The concert is conducted by Libor Pešek and features a number of exceptional soloists as well as the original 1750 organ that Jan Jakub Ryba used to play.
