On 26 May 2021, the CDCC hosted an online seminar How to get the best out of social media for small businesses.

Most of businesses, small, large and anything in between, are active on social media. Some do great and sell their services or products extremely well. Some others don’t and struggle to find a way to change that.

During this online seminar participants learned some basic principles, including how to choose the right social media for their specific case and how to use it in the most suitable way.

The webinar was given by Katerina Veliskova, Executive Director of the CDCC and Marketing Advisor helping small and medium companies to better connect with their customers and accelerate their business growth.

Katerina shared 8 tips for the best use of social media:

  1. Set your goals
  2. Identify your target audience
  3. Check what others do
  4. Prepare your content strategy
  5. Decide on timing and frequency of your posts
  6. Set a budget
  7. Do it!
  8. Measure, measure, measure

“There is no universal recipe for the best use of social media. It always comes down to what you want to achieve and who do you want to talk to. Like for anything else in business, if you want to see any tangible results, you need to invest some time, energy and effort to make it happen,” added Katerina Veliskova.
